During the Summer, many children lose their access to free and reduced lunches. To help children from going hungry, the Idaho Foodbank offers a program called Picnic in the Park that runs from June 5th to August 11th. Lunch is free for children ages 1-18. Adults can purchase a meal at a low cost. Picnic at the Park is offered Monday through Friday at a variety of parks around Boise.
