So You Want To See The World Blog Tour

Wednesday, April 25, 2018

So You Want To See The World? by Jason Pruett explores the different adventures available to your favorite graduates or kids. The book shares what they have accomplished and what they can accomplish in the future. This book will help them recognize important milestones in their life.

So You Want To See The World? is similar to the Oh The Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss. Pruett has some ridiculous moments in the book and illustrations, but the content seems more modern and relevant to today's kids and their experiences than Dr. Seuss' work. The rhymes and illustrations are clever and engaging. It's a great gift for graduating seniors in college or high-school. As another idea for this book, I've heard of moms buying a book like this for one of their children and each year as the student moves up through school asking the teachers to sign it with a memory they have of that child. When the child graduates, they have a book with their teachers signatures and memories of their school years. This is a fun book and I am sure you will have fun reading it. To Love a Spy Review

Tuesday, April 3, 2018

Lady Camden's traitorous mother and imposter husband are now dead and she is free to rebuild her life and to begin healing from the terror and pain she's had to endure. The new Lord Camden strikes up a friendship with her and wants to repair his own pain and loneliness. Lord Camden can't be completely free in his own life until he finishes another assignment for the Crown that involves stopping the French from pushing a bill to pass in parliament, discovering the French spies and uncovering their plot. As Lord Camden begins to unravel the plot, Lady Camden's past pulls her unto treacherous terrain. Will Lady Camden be able to love a spy and be strong enough to keep her heart from breaking? Will Lord Camden be able to stop the French?

To Love a Spy is the third installment in the Beckett Files Series by Laura Beers. I love the first two books and was excited to read her next book. To Love a Spy doesn't disappoint and I am excited for the fourth book to come out. Lady Camden's character is broken, skittish and pained from her past and wants to feel safe and repair some of the wrongs done by her past husband. The character needed time throughout the book to come to dealings with her new life and rebuild herself into who she wants to be. The book is not only a romance, but deals with how to find peace with yourself and interior strength. Beers also notes differing opinions on the treatment of women:  whether they should be submissive to the will of those around them or strong enough to have their own will and character. The book continues in the tradition of the other two books in the series with adventure, romance, intrigue and healing. To Love a Spy is an enjoyable read for all regency romance readers. The characters were likeable, realistic and interesting. The intrigue kept you guessing with surprises, twists and turns. Laura Beers is quickly becoming one of the top clean, romance writers. To learn more about, To Love A Spy, click here. Currently, To Love a Spy is only $10.95 for a paperback and $2.99 for the kindle version. If you haven't read this series before and would like to get started, I strongly suggest starting with Saving Shadow.
