Miss Aideline Hayes is the perfect lady's companion for Charity Edgeworth. She's proper, pleasant and converses easily. When Charity breaks off her engagement unexpectedly, Aideline finds her skills put to the test as she seeks a new match for Charity.
Joanna Barker writes a dynamic and fresh regency story. The characters make many mistakes in dealing with each other and there are several twists and turns. I liked that their flaws helped move the story along without making the characters any less likeable. There were also several characters in this book, but the author does a good job at making them distinct. It would be interesting to see if Barker writes another story based on any of the side characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced, easy-to-read romance. I would recommend this book to regency readers. To learn more, click here.
